There are two ways to display author profiles: app blocks and app embeds. Use an app block on an Online Store 2.0 theme. Use an app embed on a vintage theme.
Use the following method based on your theme type.

Limitation: App embeds are for vintage themes only. They cannot be used together with an app block.
This method adds the "Author Profiles" app block in the theme editor. You can move it as a section or a block. No files are added to the theme.
App block targets and plans are as follows.

Select "Access" on the home screen to open the theme editor and add the app block to the target template.
This method enables the embed from "App embeds" in the theme editor. The author profile is inserted relative to an element with the specified class name.

When you use an app embed, set the following.
Class name: The class name of the element used as the insertion reference
Position: Above, below, first child, or last child of the reference element
