When you apply an author from Blog posts, the author profile appears on that blog post page. Each blog post can have one author.
In the theme editor, add the "Author Profiles" app block to the blog post template, or add an app embed on a vintage theme. If you do not add it, applying an author will not display the profile on the online store.
See the following articles for how to add it.
(1) Open Blog posts
From Shopify admin, go to Apps and open "RuffRuff Author Profiles." Select "Blog posts" from the app menu.
(2) Select the items
Select the items you want to set an author on. You can select multiple items.
(3) Apply an author
Select "Apply author," choose an author, then select "Apply author." If an author is already applied, it is replaced with the new author.
(1) Select the items
On "Blog posts," select the items you want to remove the author from.
(2) Remove the author
Select "Remove author," then confirm with "Remove author."
On Blog posts, you can filter by blog and publishing status, and sort by published date, updated date, or title. You can search by title. If you have more than one blog, filter the list by blog.
Each blog post can have one author. Applying a different author replaces the previous author.
When you apply an author, the Shopify blog post author name is also updated to the applied author name.
Removing the author does not revert the Shopify author name. To change it back, update the author name from Shopify admin → Content → Blog posts.
You can select multiple items and apply an author. The list shows up to 50 items per page. There is no way to apply an author to every article at once.
