If an author profile is not displaying, check the app block, author assignment, and visibility in that order. An author with a blank author name is not displayed.
In the theme editor, open the blog post, product, or page template you want to display. Confirm that the "Author Profiles" app block is there, or an app embed on a vintage theme.
See the following articles for how to add it.
On "Blog posts," "Products," or "Pages" in the app menu, check the author column for the target item. If it shows "Not set," apply an author.
In the theme editor, check the eye icon for "Author Profiles." If it is disabled, the profile is not displayed on the online store.
Displaying authors on products and pages is available on the Regular plan. On the Free and Light plans, authors can be displayed on blog posts only.
On an Online Store 2.0 theme, if the author profile appears at the bottom of the page, such as below the footer, check whether a vintage-theme app embed is on. If it is on, turn it off, select "Save," then add the "Author Profiles" app block to the blog post, product, or page template.
You cannot use an app embed and an app block at the same time. On Online Store 2.0, use only an app block.
To choose a method, see App Block vs. App Embed.
